Who we are

We are the O.A.S.I.S. Clinic, a small nonprofit community clinic located in Oakland, CA.  If you would like, you may read more about us on our website: www.oasisclinic.org.

We have spearheaded this effort because health insurers are making it nearly impossible for us to care for needy patients.  Each year the situation has gotten worse, and we don't even know if we will survive.  But we aren't the only ones: everyone we talk to has one horror story or other.  Or more likely, a whole lot of them.

So we decided we should do something about it.  That is the kind of attitude that has allowed us to be successful with patients that supposedly are unreachable.  Maybe, somehow, we can reach the insurers too.

Oh yes: no one is funding this effort.  It has been fueled solely by frustration and anger.
